Executive Director
Megan serves as Executive Director for the Northeast Recycling Council. She has a decade of experience in non-profit management and facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships. Megan oversees the strategic development and operations for NERC, facilitating public and private partnerships and leading the team in carrying out its mission through a diverse range of activities and membership engagement. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's of Business Administration in Social Impact and Energy and Environmental Sustainability from Boston University.
Development and Program Manager
Sophie joined NERC in the summer of 2023. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland with her master's in public policy, specializing in environmental policy. She dedicated her two years of graduate school advancing her knowledge and experience in policy at the state, national, and international level related to sustainability, waste management, and climate change. Senior Project Manager
Mariane is an experienced environmental engineer with a strong background in project management, sustainable development, and renewable energy. She effectively led for 6 years multi-disciplinary teams from ideation to implementation. Mariane's expertise includes ISO 14001 certification and agile practices. She has published in international journals on carbon footprint analysis and regional biomass concentration. Her dedication extends beyond academia as she has also lectured for over 5 years on environmental topics. With a passion for positive change, Mariane is committed to contributing her skills to meaningful projects that drive sustainability.
Sustainability Resource & Data Management Intern
Justin joined NERC in the summer of 2024. Justin is a junior at the University of Washington, majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Business Administration. Through studying Environmental Studies he hopes to gain a deep understanding of the multi-disciplinary issues that surround the environment. Justin’s passion for sustainability and ESG has led to his involvement with multiple projects associated with the University of Washington.
