Thomas Rocca, Sales and Partner Network Development, Sharetribe Ltd

Thomas Rocca has been helping entrepreneurs build marketplaces for six years. He runs the customer team at Sharetribe, whose software enables the building of peer-to-peer marketplace platforms. Sharetribe powers over 1000 marketplaces, many in the second-hand space. These play a crucial role in reducing waste and promoting sustainability by connecting people to share, reuse, and repurpose goods and services all over the world. In his role, Thomas works at the intersection of idea and implementation, giving him a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges peer-to-peer platforms face getting off the ground. 

Carmen Gama, Director of Circular Design, EILEEN FISHER

Carmen Gama is a New York-based designer and expert in Circular Design and Business Models. Originally from Mexico, she serves as Director of Circular Design at EILEEN FISHER. A graduate of Parsons The New School for Design, Gama focuses on designing scalable systems to extend the life cycle and re-capture the value of pre- and post-consumer textile waste. Her work aims to reduce the environmental impact of fashion while creating replicable business models for other brands to adopt.

Dr. Yuly Fuentes-Medel, Founder and Executive Director, The Footwear Collective

Dr. Yuly Fuentes Medel is a catalyst for innovation at the intersection of fashion, technology, climate change, and business. She is the founder of The Footwear Collective, a nonprofit powered by EarthDNA Inc., and serves as Program Director for the Climate Grand Challenges & Fabric Innovation Lab at MIT.


With a PhD in biomedical sciences from UMass Medical School and postdoctoral training at MIT Sloan, Dr. Fuentes Medel has built global initiatives like DESCIENCE, connecting science and design. She has been recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by Boston Business Magazine and “Human of the Year” by Motherhood Magazine. A dedicated ecosystem builder, she supports startups, sustainable innovation, and international collaboration between Chile and Massachusetts.
