NERC Adopts New Repair & Reuse Policy and Amends Product Stewardship Policy

The Board of Directors of the Northeast Recycling Council (NERC) has recently adopted two policies: a new policy on repair, reuse, and remanufacture; and a revision of its product stewardship and producer responsibility policy.  Both policies are available on the NERC website.

The product stewardship policy was last amended in 2012.  This revision is the result of the work of a committee of State and Advisory Member representatives that helped advise the Board.  

The new repair, reuse, and remanufacture policy arose as a result of conversations and recommendations at the NERC fall 2017 conference.
